If you like dried fruit, you should take a break until you have completely stopped sugar, or use whole fresh fruit as an alternative. My plan is to continue eating sweets at the weekend, but during the week to stop eating sugar completely, and then to eat all sweets at the weekend.

You might also start to notice that after dinner you would enjoy a spoonful of honey, as the sweetness cleans your palate. After all the experiments you will try, you might decide that not eating a lot of sugar will simply be part of your lifestyle.
